Warren Lee Heinen died Thursday, December 9, 2021 at the age of 66. He was born in Concordia, KS and raised in Formoso, KS. He graduated from Mankato High School and continued his education graduating from Cloud County Jr College in Concordia, KS in 1975 and Southwestern College in Winfield, KS in 1977. He had worked as an assistant manager but for most of his career life he worked for the State of Kansas as an auditor. After his retirement from the state due to his love of travel and photography he established a travel website.
Survivors include his brothers, Alvin of Formoso, KS, Gary (Kelly) of Kansas City, MO, and Mark (Jolene) of Beloit, KS, sister Ann (Jerry) Jennings of Cedar Vale, KS, 4 nephews and their wives, 3 great nephews, 6 great nieces, Aunt Eileen, of Topeka, KS, Aunt Jean of Jewell, KS, and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents Ruth and Harold Heinen and a great niece.
Visitation will be from 4PM-6PM Tuesday December 14, 2021 at Kleppinger Funeral Home 409 Broadway, Jewell, KS. Funeral will be at 2PM, on Wednesday December 15, 2021 at Kleppinger Funeral Home, Pastor Jim Rice officiating with a graveside service to follow at Wallace Cemetery east of Jewell.
