Shirley L Doxon, 83, passed away Thursday January 17 2019 at Hilltop Lodge Beloit, Ks.
Shirley was the daughter of Glade and Marie Knarr of Jewell, KS. She spent her childhood growing up on a farm southwest of Jewell. She was always outside going with and helping her dad. Shirley attended and graduated from Jewell High School.
She was united in marriage to Robert "Bob" Doxon May 30, 1955. To this union was born 2 boys Tim and Curtis.
Shirley helped Bob farm and raise a family. She would drive tractors, run the grain trucks and help with the hogs. She also enjoyed taking care of her flowers and maintaining the yard.
Shirley was a 50 plus year member of the Eastern Star Lodge.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, son Tim, husband Bob, granddaughter Kelley, daughter-in-law Karla, and grandson Mike.
Shirley is survived by her son Curtis (Kristy) of Edson Ks, 5 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and a host of friends.
Visitation will be Tuesday January 22, 2019 from 5:00PM – 7:00PM at Kleppinger Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be Wednesday January 23, 2019 at 2:00PM at Trinity United Methodist Church in Jewell, KS.
Burial will be in the Jewell City Cemetery. Memorial Contributions are to the church.
