Donald Leon Mallory died July 11, 2010 in his home in Jewell, KS, with those closest to him by his side.
Donald was born on the family farm, rural Jewell, on December 4, 1945 to Lee and Lillie (Sipp) Mallory. He was raised and lived around the Jewell area.
Donald spent his life serving others as a carpenter and concrete worker. Much of his handy work can be found around the county.
He leaves behind his children, Ronnie (Alonda) Mallory, Florida; Becky (German) Fernandez, Mankato; Rachel (Tony) Crannell, Concordia; Terri Hicks, Nebraska; Sandy Wayne, Salina; Ann Hogan, Clay Center, KS; Charlie Mallory, Clay Center, KS; Donnie Taylor, Florida. Brothers and sisters, Donna (Archie) Thompson, Kenny (Judy) Mallory, Calvin (Mary) Mallory, all from Jewell; Dorothy and Jack Hake, Illinois, Helen Theleman, Downs, Richard (Margaret) Mallory, Iowa; Elmer Miller, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents and his two children, Steven (Petey) Mallory and Tammy Mallory.
Visitations were held Tuesday evening from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Kleppinger Funeral Home, 409 Broadway, Jewell, KS who handled arrangements.
The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 14, 2010 in the Jewell Community Center.
Burial was in Wallace Cemetery following the service. Memorials may be given to family choice.
